EMUNAH DAY MISSION

Statement

On Monday January 29th, 2018, in honor of Rav Noach Weinberg zt"l's yahrtzeit, our first "EMUNAH DAY" will be joining the Aish Hatorah annual Yarchei kallah at the Aish Hatorah World Center, Jerusalem.  Many of your favorite emunah teachers and group facilitators will be together in one venue to unite Jewish women for a day entirely dedicated to strengthening in our relationship with HaKadosh Baruch Hu: namely to make that relationship, as our teacher Bilvavi Mishkan Evneh author Rabbi Itamar Schwartz describes in his sefer, “more personal and palpable… literally sensing Him”.  That is our purpose.  That is our hope. That is the key to our redemption, personal and global.

Structure

The day is structured intentionally to allow for maximum inspiration along with maximum integration.  This is not intended to be another “Yom Iyun” in which participants passively listen to lecture after lecture after lecture.  Rather, the speakers and facilitators have been specifically chosen to take us on an experiential journey with ourselves and with the Borei Olam. It is also an opportunity to meet with and unite with other Jewish women who are part of our soul family as we are all searching for ways to strengthen our Emunah together. To that end, the program content has been divided into the three essential elements that make up our reality, namely Nefesh (soul); Makom (space) and Z’man (time).  Each of the keynote speakers will be focusing on one of these specific dimensions.

Schedule

Rabbi Aryeh Nivin will start us off by describing for us who was Rav Noach Weinberg zt”l and how he was the absolute epitome of an “ohev Hashem” in our generation.

Next, Rabbi Itamar Schwartz will help us connect to the holiness of where we are situated, opposite the holiest place on earth, the Kotel Hamaarivi, and how that impacts our experience of connecting to Hashem in the most complete way.

Rebbetzin Tziporah Heller will bring us into the dimension of time and show us how Emunah and building the kli (vessel) for Emunah is intrinsically tied to the month we’ve just entered into, the month of Sh’vat.

Rabbi Doniel Katz, giving us a “Taste of Elevation”, will take us through an experiential exercise enabling us to fully integrate all of these dimensions of connecting to Hashem in soul, space and time.

With the addition of the smaller group breakout sessions and The Emunah Fair, our hope is to walk away from this day truly elevated and transformed with the resources and tools necessary to continue to build upon and strengthen our relationship with Hakadosh Baruch Hu, Iy’H, giving our Avinu s’b’shmayim (Father in Heaven) maximum nachas ruach!
